Migrants Flown to California and Left Outside Church Spark Outrage and Investigation

After 16 Venezuelan and Colombian migrants were recently flown to California and left outside of a church, officials have launched an investigation. The migrants were processed in Texas by a private contractor who reportedly deceived them about their destination. The migrants were then flown to a Catholic church in Sacramento without warning or preparation.

Governor Newsom’s office and the California Department of Justice are now investigating the incident to determine who is responsible for the immoral and disgusting treatment of these individuals. The migrants were left with no resources, no plan, and no clear path forward.

This is not the only incident of its kind to occur recently. Just a few days prior, another group of migrants arrived in Sacramento via private jet and were left outside of a different church. It is unclear if this is part of a larger trend or just an unfortunate coincidence.

Regardless, officials are urging everyone involved in the immigration process to ensure that migrants are treated with dignity and respect. It is unacceptable for anyone to be treated like this, especially those who are fleeing violence and persecution in their home countries.

As the investigation continues, the migrants are receiving assistance from local organizations and advocates. Hopefully, this will serve as a wake-up call that everyone’s rights and wellbeing must be protected, regardless of their background or citizenship status.
