ELGIN, MORAY – A mother, Kiesha Donaghy, 32, was found dead in her Elgin, Moray home on Thursday night, prompting fears that she may have been beaten to death and hidden under a pile of clothes by her killer. According to a local, it is believed that a neighbor had entered the ground floor flat multiple times during the day, unaware that Kiesha’s body was inside. It wasn’t until a friend urged the neighbor to take a closer look that the grim discovery was made.

Authorities have launched a major investigation into Kiesha’s death, with murder detectives being called in to examine the tragic event. Kiesha’s closest friend reported being one of the last people to speak with her, having chatted with her on the phone just the day before her body was found.

Neighbor reports indicate that Kiesha’s dog was heard whimpering in the property, and a neighbor had gone over to check on the pet multiple times during the day. However, a friend was able to keep track of Kiesha’s whereabouts through an app and became concerned when she saw no activity from Kiesha’s phone.

Upon urging the neighbor to thoroughly search the flat, the friend reported hearing the neighbor scream and plead for her to call an ambulance. The responding emergency crews closed off a portion of the town and began a thorough investigation of the area.
