TOLEDO, Ohio – A 17-year-old girl from Ohio planned the murder of her mother and gave her adult boyfriend five hours to carry out the crime, according to police reports.
The teenager, who has not been publicly identified, was arrested and charged with aggravated murder after the body of her 48-year-old mother was found at their home in Toledo. According to investigators, the girl and her 21-year-old boyfriend carefully planned the murder.
The mother’s body was discovered by a family friend who became concerned after not hearing from her for several days. The friend went to the house and found the victim’s body in the basement, with numerous stab wounds.
Authorities believe the teenager and her boyfriend discussed the murder several times before the crime took place, and that the boyfriend had been given five hours to carry it out. The boyfriend has also been arrested and faces charges in connection with the murder.
The 17-year-old suspect is being held in a juvenile detention center and is facing aggravated murder charges. Police have not released any further information about the case at this time.
