Oklahoma City Police Investigate Two Separate Homicides, No Suspects in Custody

Two separate homicides in Oklahoma City this week have shaken the community, as the state medical examiner ruled both deaths as homicides. According to Oklahoma City Police, no arrests have been made in either case.

The most recent homicide investigation began on Wednesday, when police were called to the City Inn motel on Southwest 44th Street near Robinson Avenue. An employee at the motel made the tragic discovery of a deceased person inside one of the rooms, leading to a sense of unease among employees, new visitors, and long-time residents who usually feel safe at the City Inn.

Meanwhile, on the opposite side of the city, police are seeking answers in the death of 38-year-old Ira Spells. Spells was found lying partially in the road with a bicycle on Northwest 10th Street and MacArthur Boulevard. Initially thought to be a traffic accident, the medical examiner later determined that Spells had injuries consistent with homicide.

The police are urging the public to come forward with any information that could aid in both homicide investigations. They have not identified any suspects and are asking for witnesses to call the homicide tip line at (405) 297-1200.

These tragic incidents have left the Oklahoma City community on edge, with authorities seeking answers and justice for the victims.
