Only Murders in the Building: Step into the Immersive Murder Mystery Experience in NYC!

New York City is about to come alive with an immersive murder mystery experience based on the Hulu show “Only Murders in the Building.” Located at the United Palace Theater, the interactive investigation will transport fans into the heart of the show’s latest murder mystery plot. In season three, Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez team up once again to solve a murder at the Goosebury Theater, where Hollywood action star Ben Glenroy, played by Paul Rudd, has been killed, and the prime suspect is his colleague Loretta, portrayed by Meryl Streep.

Guests attending the event will have the opportunity to embark on their own personal crime scene investigation, as they explore the immersive space at the United Palace Theater. The display will feature props and costumes from Season 3 of the show, serving as vital evidence in the murder mystery.

Costume designer Dana Covarrubias expressed excitement about fans being able to see the intricately designed “Death Rattle Dazzle” costumes up close and personal. Covarrubias and her team worked diligently for six months, collaborating with local New York craftspeople such as milliners, shoemakers, and Broadway costume houses to bring the costumes to life. This event presents a rare opportunity for fans to appreciate the beauty and craftsmanship of everyone’s work.

The production designer, Patrick Howe, also praised the event, welcoming fans to the historic Goosebury Theater. Howe explained that his art department brought the theater to life in different eras, including the 1920s, the 1960s, and the 2023 premiere of the musical “Death Rattle Dazzle.” This fully immersive experience includes Broadway sets and enables fans to step into the murder mystery environment.

The interactive murder mystery experience, taking place from September 22-24 at the United Theater, promises to captivate fans and transport them into the world of “Only Murders in the Building.” Tickets can be registered for online.
