Ryo Tatsuki, a manga artist and self-proclaimed clairvoyant, gained notoriety in the late 1990s with her book, “The Future I Saw,” which details her predictions for catastrophic events.

Despite her enigmatic reputation, experts contend that predicting earthquakes remains an imprecise science. Japan’s geological location—sitting on the Pacific’s “Ring of Fire”—makes it particularly susceptible to seismic activity, but current methodologies do not allow for pinpoint predictions.

Tatsuki has gained fame in part due to her history of chillingly accurate prophecies, dating back to her childhood in the 1980s. Her newfound significance in contemporary discourse raises ongoing debates about the role of intuitive insights versus scientific investigation in preparing for natural disasters.
