Putin Implicated in MH17 Tragedy: International Team Presents Update on Investigation

International investigators have concluded that Russian President Vladimir Putin was responsible for supplying the missile that shot down Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 in 2014.

The Joint Investigation Team, comprised of representatives from Australia, Belgium, Malaysia, the Netherlands, and Ukraine, presented their findings in a press conference on Thursday.

The investigators found that the missile was part of a convoy of military equipment from Russia that was transported into Ukraine, and then sent back to Russia after the plane was shot down.

The investigators also said that the missile was fired from an area in Ukraine that was controlled by pro-Russian separatists at the time.

The investigators have not yet named any suspects in the downing of the plane, but they have said that they are continuing to investigate and will present their findings at a later date.

The crash of Flight MH17 killed all 298 people on board, including 196 Dutch nationals, 43 Malaysians, and 27 Australians.

The crash sparked international outrage, and the United Nations Security Council has imposed sanctions on Russia in response.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and the Joint Investigation Team has said that they will continue to work to bring those responsible to justice.
