Recalled Diamond Shruumz Products Linked to Illnesses – FDA Warns Against Ingesting These Microdosing Treats

Los Angeles, CA – The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a recall for Diamond Shruumz-brand products due to reported illnesses caused by their “microdosing” sweets. The recall comes after Prophet Premium Blends, the distributor of Diamond Shruumz products, voluntarily recalled the items. The FDA stated that the products violated the Federal Hazardous Substances Act for containing high amounts of hydroxyethyl methacrylate “HEMA” and isobornyl acrylate “IBOA.”

The FDA mentioned that the symptoms observed in individuals who fell ill after consuming Diamond Shruumz products could be linked to the presence of muscimol, a chemical found in certain mushrooms. Additionally, chemical tests discovered the psychoactive drug O-acetylpsilocin in two of the company’s chocolate bars. Investigations are ongoing to assess the health risks associated with ingesting these substances.

As a result of consuming the Diamond Shruumz products, there have been 39 reported cases of illness, with 23 people requiring hospitalization. Symptoms range from seizures to nausea, with individuals experiencing various severe reactions. The FDA and CDC medical officers are analyzing test results to determine the potential health risks and necessary precautions to be taken.

Despite Diamond Shruumz claiming that their “microdosing” products do not contain psychedelic substances like psilocybin, the FDA found desmethoxyyangonin, dihydrokavain, and kavain in their Dark Chocolate Bar. The company assures consumers that their treats provide a safe and enjoyable experience without any scheduled drugs present. However, caution is advised as the investigation into the products is still ongoing.

Diamond Shruumz promotes their products as offering a subtle, sumptuous experience that enhances creativity. While the brand emphasizes the absence of psychedelic substances, concerns remain regarding the ingredients found in their sweets. Fox Business reached out to Diamond Shruumz for comment but received no immediate response. City officials are urging consumers to refrain from consuming Diamond Shruumz products until further investigations are conducted.

As people continue to grapple with the consequences of consuming Diamond Shruumz products, authorities are working to ensure the safety of consumers and prevent any further illnesses from occurring. The recall serves as a reminder of the importance of regulatory oversight in the food and drug industry.
