On January 6th, Dominion Voting Systems accused Fox News of refusing to allow former President Donald Trump on-air when he called in during the attack on the Capitol building. The lawsuit alleges that Fox News executives were aware of Trump’s involvement in the attack and did not want to give him a platform to continue his false claims of election fraud.
Tucker Carlson, a Fox News host, defended Trump’s actions and described him as a “world champion” of destroying things. However, according to a court document recently revealed, Fox News stars and executives privately expressed disbelief about Trump’s election fraud claims.
The Arizona Republic reported that Fox News hosts spread election lies that they did not believe, asking if viewers were fooled by them. The New York Times also reported that Fox stars privately expressed disbelief about Trump’s election fraud claims.
Fox News has yet to comment on the allegations.
