Ronde Barber, Darrelle Revis, DeMarcus Ware Lead Hall of Fame Class of 2023

The Pro Football Hall of Fame announced its Class of 2023 on Saturday night at the NFL Honors ceremony. The class is headlined by five legendary defensive players, each of whom made their mark on the game in different ways.

Ronde Barber, Darrelle Revis, DeMarcus Ware, and Charles Woodson are all enshrined in the Hall of Fame. The fifth member of the class is former NFL official Johnny Grier, who was the first African-American referee in the NFL.

Barber, Revis, and Ware were all first-ballot Hall of Famers. Barber was a five-time Pro Bowler and a three-time All-Pro selection during his 16-year career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Revis was a seven-time Pro Bowler and four-time All-Pro selection during his 11-year career with the New York Jets, New England Patriots, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Kansas City Chiefs. Ware was an eight-time Pro Bowler and four-time All-Pro selection during his 12-year career with the Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos.

Woodson was a nine-time Pro Bowler and four-time All-Pro selection during his 18-year career with the Oakland Raiders, Green Bay Packers, and Pittsburgh Steelers. Grier spent 25 years as an NFL official, during which he officiated two Super Bowls and was the first African-American referee in the NFL.

The Football Zebras also announced its fifth class of potential nominees for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The class includes former players such as Troy Aikman, Derrick Brooks, and Steve Hutchinson, and former officials such as Mike Carey and Jim Daopoulos.
