Questions are swirling around Rep. George Santos and his hiring practices on Capitol Hill as his 2020 campaign finances are under investigation.
The Washington Post reported that the staff hires of Rep. George Santos have been drawing scrutiny on Capitol Hill and the Justice Department has asked the Federal Election Commission to stand down in order to allow prosecutors to investigate his campaign finances.
Mother Jones reported that when they tried to call some of the top donors to Santos’ 2020 campaign, many of them did not seem to exist.
CNN reported that questions are growing about Santos and his campaign finance issues.
