LOS ANGELES, CA – Shannen Doherty, known for her roles in “Beverly Hills 90210” and “Charmed,” opened up about her battle with stage 4 breast cancer. In a recent episode of her podcast, “Let’s Be Clear,” the 52-year-old actress shared how her illness has shifted her priorities.

Doherty expressed the importance of living life to the fullest, especially in the face of a terminal illness. She became emotional as she reflected on how cancer has made her reevaluate her life and focus on what truly matters to her, particularly her mother.

The actress revealed her desire to make things easier for her mother moving forward, acknowledging the challenges her mom will face if she does not survive her battle with cancer. Doherty emphasized the need to simplify their lives and let go of unnecessary possessions.

Apart from downsizing material possessions, Doherty shared her dream of starting a horse rescue on her property in Tennessee. Despite the emotional difficulty of letting go of certain dreams, the actress has chosen to prioritize making memories with her loved ones.

Last year, Doherty announced on social media that her cancer had metastasized to her brain and bones. This news came after her initial breast cancer diagnosis in 2015, followed by a period of remission and a subsequent recurrence in 2020.

Despite the challenges she faces, Doherty remains focused on creating meaningful experiences with her mother. The actress is determined to focus on what truly brings her joy and to make the most of her time with her loved ones.
