ROUND ROCK, TX – In a tragic turn of events, a shooting at a Juneteenth celebration in Round Rock left two people dead and 14 others injured. The incident occurred at Old Settlers Park during a festival sponsored by a nonprofit organization called The Voice Inc. and the Round Rock Parks and Recreation Department.

The shooting, which took place between two groups at the event, resulted in chaos as attendees scrambled for safety. Despite the presence of more than 22 law enforcement personnel and emergency responders at the event, the shooter managed to flee the scene, leaving a trail of devastation behind.

Round Rock Police Chief Allen Banks expressed his dismay over the senseless violence that marred what was supposed to be a joyous occasion. He emphasized the need for the community to come together and support the victims and their families during this difficult time.

As authorities continue their investigation into the shooting, community members are left grappling with the aftermath of the tragedy. Many expressed shock and sadness over the incident, highlighting the need for unity and healing within the community.

The FBI has joined local law enforcement in the investigation, offering resources and support to aid in the search for the shooter. Mayor Craig Morgan condemned the violence, calling for solidarity and resilience as the community begins the process of healing.

With the shooter still at large, police are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist in locating the suspect. A $5,000 reward has been offered for information leading to the arrest of the individual believed to be responsible for the tragic events at the Juneteenth celebration.
