According to statements from Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard, the gunman, described as acting “randomly,” fired 28 shots from a handgun at the Brooklands Plaza Splash Pad, located at 1585 E. Auburn Road.

The violence erupted as the assailant approached the water park, exiting a vehicle to discharge a 9mm Glock semi-automatic handgun not once, but twice. Oakland County Sheriff’s Office and Rochester Police Department reported the unsettling scene where three bullet magazines were left behind.
