Kansas City, Kansas police are investigating a double shooting that occurred Thursday night, resulting in one fatality.

The incident took place just before 8 p.m. in the vicinity of N. 38th Street and State Avenue in KCK, where law enforcement responded to reports of gunshots.

Upon arrival, officers discovered two male victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Tragically, one of the individuals was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other victim was transported to a nearby hospital and is currently in stable condition.

As of now, no suspect has been apprehended in connection to the shooting.
