South Korea’s lunar probe has captured stunning images of Earth and the moon, showcasing the beauty of our planet and its natural satellite. The European Space Agency (ESA) is now mapping the moon in order to gain a better understanding of its surface and composition.

According to the Korean Aerospace Research Institute (KARI), the probe, named “Lunar Dream”, was launched in August and has since been orbiting the moon and taking photographs. The probe’s black and white images of Earth and the moon have been praised for their clarity and beauty, with some of the photos being shared on the PetaPixel website.

The ESA is hoping that the images taken by the Lunar Dream probe will help them in their mission to map the moon. The agency has stated that they are interested in learning more about the moon’s composition and surface features, which could help them plan future missions to the moon.

The Lunar Dream probe is part of South Korea’s larger space exploration program, which is aiming to build a lunar base by 2030. The program is also looking to send a manned mission to the moon by 2045.
