LOS ANGELES (AP) – The final episode of “Ahsoka,” the latest installment in the “Star Wars” TV universe, has left fans of “Clone Wars” and “Star Wars Rebels” with some long-awaited moments. Titled “The Jedi, the Witch and the Warlord,” the season finale wraps up with some bittersweet events.

In the episode, Grand Admiral Thrawn manages to escape into space while Ahsoka and Sabine are left stranded on the planet Peridea. However, there is a glimmer of hope as Ezra reunites with his crewmate Hera for the first time since disappearing in the finale of “Rebels.”

The episode kicks off with Thrawn and the Nightsisters transforming Morgan Elspeth into one of the evil witches and arming her with the Blade of Talzin. Ahsoka, Ezra, and Sabine gear up for battle against Thrawn, the Nightsisters, and their army of Night Troopers on Peridea. The team confronts the challenge of the Nightsisters’ ability to resurrect fallen soldiers with dark magic.

Despite the hazards, the Jedi power through and face Morgan in a lightsaber duel. Sabine demonstrates her newfound ability to use the Force to retrieve her lightsaber from a distance and dispatches one of the zombies. Eventually, Sabine and Ezra chase down Thrawn’s Star Destroyer, with Sabine using the Force to launch Ezra onto the ship safely. Sabine then goes back to help Ahsoka, who ultimately defeats Morgan in a flashy lightsaber fight.

As the episode concludes, it is revealed that Thrawn’s final destination is Dathomir, the home of the Nightsisters. Ahsoka and Sabine, stranded on Peridea, must find a way to stop Thrawn and the evil plot he and the Nightsisters are brewing. Meanwhile, Ezra disguises himself as a Stormtrooper and heads off to reunite with Hera and the Resistance. The episode ends with Ahsoka sensing shadows in the galaxy, while a Force ghost of Anakin watches over the heroes.

The season finale of “Ahsoka” brings together elements from previous installments of the “Star Wars” TV universe, delivering long-awaited moments for fans. The ending sets the stage for a new chapter and raises anticipation for the future of the series.
