Survivor of Sandy Hook Massacre and Oxford High Student Speaks Out After Michigan State University Shooting

On Monday, a shooting at Michigan State University left two students injured and one dead. Among the injured was an Oxford High School student who had previously survived the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.

The Michigan State University shooting began at around 3:30 p.m. on Monday. According to eyewitness accounts, the shooter opened fire in a parking lot near the MSU campus. Two students were injured in the incident, including the Oxford High student. The other injured student was taken to a local hospital, while the Oxford High student was treated at the scene.

The shooter, who has been identified as a former MSU student, was later found dead in his car. It is believed that he died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

In the wake of the shooting, MSU student and Sandy Hook survivor, Jimmy Greene, spoke out about the incident. He said that the shooting “reminded [him] of the horror of that day [at Sandy Hook] and how it still impacts [him] today.”

Meanwhile, MSU professor, Dr. Mark McFarland, wrote an opinion piece for Bridge Michigan in which he mourned the loss of life and the tragedy of the incident. He said that the shooting “is a reminder of the fragility of life, and how quickly it can be taken away.”

The Michigan State University shooting is still under investigation, and authorities are working to determine the shooter’s motive. In the meantime, the university community is mourning the loss of life and offering support to those affected by the incident.
