Cypress, Texas – A family of taekwondo instructors in Cypress, Texas, demonstrated bravery and quick thinking as they intervened to save a woman from an attempted sexual assault. The incident, which took place at a local store, prompted the members of Yong-In Tae Kwon Do to act swiftly upon hearing distressing noises and witnessing a male assailant targeting a woman.

According to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, the instructors, including Hannah An and her brothers Christian and Simon An, along with their father Grandmaster Han An, immediately sprang into action. By utilizing their training and discipline, they managed to thwart the assault and restrain the suspect until law enforcement arrived on the scene.

The heroic intervention of the taekwondo family not only protected the victim but also led to the apprehension of the suspect, later identified as 19-year-old Alex Robinson. Robinson, who was charged with attempted sexual assault, unlawful detention, and assault, was found apprehended by the authorities upon their arrival. A judge subsequently set Robinson’s bond at $100,000.

In the aftermath of the incident, Hannah An’s mother, Hong An, offered assistance to the woman by bringing her to their dojo to ensure her well-being. Despite being hailed as heroes, Hannah An humbly acknowledged that anyone in their position would have likely taken similar action.
