Teenage Girl Dies in Tragic Boating Accident off Cape Cod

A tragic boating accident off the coast of Cape Cod claimed the life of a 17-year-old girl on Friday night, according to Massachusetts State Police. The incident occurred when the boat she was aboard collided with a jetty near Cold Storage Beach. The authorities were alerted to the accident around 11 p.m., prompting an immediate search-and-rescue operation by local emergency crews and the United States Coast Guard.

The young victim was found in the water approximately half an hour later. Her identity has not been disclosed by the authorities. The recovery operation was conducted by a Barnstable County dive team, aided by the Dennis Fire Department.
