**Tesla Cybertruck Recall** Sparks Safety Concerns: Accelerator Issue Risking Unintended Acceleration!

Los Angeles, CA – Tesla is recalling 3,878 Cybertrucks due to a potential safety issue involving the accelerator pedal, the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced on Friday. The concern is that the pedal pad could become dislodged, possibly getting stuck in the interior trim and causing the vehicle to unintentionally accelerate, which could lead to an elevated risk of accidents.

The electric vehicle manufacturer will be conducting repairs or replacements of the accelerator pedal assembly free of charge. Owners of the affected vehicles will receive notification via mail in June, according to the NHTSA. This move comes after Tesla experienced a series of recalls in the first quarter of 2024, affecting approximately 2.4 million vehicles, as reported by recall management firm BizzyCar.

Although Tesla has encountered challenges with recalls, many issues are typically resolved through over-the-air software updates. In a recent recall in February, Tesla had to recall 2.2 million vehicles in the US due to an incorrect font size on warning lights. Additionally, US safety regulators escalated their investigation into Tesla vehicles over concerns of power steering loss, upgrading it to the status of an engineering analysis.

Initially, deliveries of the Cybertruck were delayed for two years because of production issues and battery-supply constraints. Following these setbacks, Tesla has been working to address any safety concerns promptly. The company’s shares experienced a decline of nearly 3% prior to trading on Friday, marking a fifth consecutive session of losses with a total decrease of about 14% in stock value. Tesla remains committed to ensuring the safety and satisfaction of its customers as it navigates these challenges.
