LONDON — A 28-year-old transgender woman has pleaded guilty to stalking a prominent surgeon who performed her gender reassignment surgery, leading to alarming threats that have raised concerns about patient-physician boundaries and mental health issues. Vivienne Taylor faces sentencing after a series of unwanted communications and confrontations with the surgeon, Tina Rashid, who specializes in transgender surgical procedures.

According to evidence presented at Westminster Magistrates’ Court, Taylor engaged in persistent harassment, sending numerous emails and showing up at Rashid’s workplace multiple times under false pretenses. Prosecutor Jonathan Bryan detailed how, following her surgery at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in 2021, Taylor developed an unhealthy fixation on the surgeon.

Despite being discharged after surgery, Taylor returned to the hospital to seek further treatment for complications that were reportedly self-inflicted. The court heard that Taylor insisted on being treated exclusively by Rashid, even threatening self-harm if she was not accommodated.

Rashid had believed the matter closed after Taylor was banned from the hospital and subsequently moved away from London. However, Taylor reestablished contact upon her return to the city last year, leading to a renewed wave of troubling emails and physical appearances at the hospital.

In May 2025, Taylor’s behavior escalated as she showed up at the medical facility claiming to have appointments that were fabricated. On November 2, she sent Rashid a violent, threatening email stating she would “batter” the surgeon and harm her partner.

The court was informed that Taylor had experienced serious mental health issues in the past, including breakdowns, and had moved back to London seeking refuge from domestic abuse. Taylor admitted to the charges of stalking and causing significant alarm to Rashid and is now awaiting a psychological evaluation and probation assessment before sentencing.
