San Francisco, California — Victoria Kafka Jones, the daughter of actor Tommy Lee Jones, was found dead early New Year’s Day at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco, at the age of 34. The San Francisco Fire Department received an emergency call at 2:52 a.m. and responded promptly to the scene.
Emergency personnel performed life-saving measures but ultimately pronounced her deceased on arrival. The San Francisco Police Department confirmed that they are investigating her death, which remains unexplained at this time.
Sources reported that hotel staff alerted emergency services when they found the unresponsive woman. Despite the resuscitation efforts by paramedics, she was declared dead shortly thereafter. The police have taken over the investigation and are seeking any witnesses or information regarding the incident.
Victoria was born on September 3, 1991, and was the daughter of Tommy Lee Jones and his second wife, Kimberlea Cloughley. The couple, who married in 1981 and divorced in 1996, also share a son, Austin Jones, aged 42.
As a child, Victoria made her acting debut in her father’s film “Men in Black II” and appeared in other projects like a notable episode of “One Tree Hill.” Though she stepped away from acting after her early roles, she remained connected to the film industry and often attended red carpet events with her father.
Her most recent public appearances include attending the premiere of “Just Getting Started,” where Tommy Lee Jones starred alongside Morgan Freeman, and an appearance at the Tokyo International Film Festival in 2017. In interviews, her father praised Victoria’s acting talent and her ability to speak Spanish fluently, recalling fond memories of guiding her through the challenges of being on a film set.
The San Francisco Police confirmed they responded to the hotel shortly after reports of a deceased person began to circulate. They have encouraged anyone with information to contact them directly or submit tips via text.
Representatives for Tommy Lee Jones have been contacted for comment regarding this tragic incident. As the investigation continues, the Jones family is likely to seek privacy during this painful time.
