DELAWARE COUNTY, OK — A heartbreaking incident unfolded in Delaware County over the weekend when authorities responded to a call about an abandoned vehicle and made a grim discovery.

Deputies found a mother and her two children dead at the scene in what appears to be a murder-suicide.

The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office reported that the vehicle was located near the intersection of State Highway 85 and 340 Road. Inside the car, which was discovered on Saturday morning, were the bodies of two young children, both with fatal gunshot wounds.

Investigation officials identified the deceased mother as 38-year-old Alisia Pena, a resident of Tulsa. According to preliminary findings, Pena is believed to have shot her children, both under the age of 10, before turning the gun on herself.
