A source close to the probe said the grand jury is expected to reconvene later in the month. Meanwhile, David Pecker, the former publisher of the National Enquirer, testified in front of the same grand jury in relation to the alleged hush money payments. Pecker’s testimony is of keen interest to investigators, who are looking to establish a pattern of collusion between Pecker and Trump to quash negative stories about Trump. The inquiry into the alleged hush money payments has been a parallel investigation to the ongoing probe into Trump’s financial and business dealings, which is being conducted by Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance.
