Violent Women Weep in Court as Horrific Kidnapping Footage Unveiled

LIVERPOOL, England – Three women in Liverpool, England, were brought to tears in court as footage of their violent attack on a young victim was presented during the trial. Nadia Gubran, 21, conspired with her friend Alya Dahshan, also 21, to abduct a nursery nurse they suspected of communicating with a man on Snapchat. The two women enlisted Layla Obad, 20, to carry out the ambush on the victim in Sefton Park on March 21 the previous year.

The disturbing video showed the victim being assaulted by Gubran and Dahshan in a wooded area after being driven there by the attackers. The victim, held on the ground, endured punches and kicks while one of the assailants verbally threatened her. Additional videos showed the victim being mistreated in a car before the violent attack unfolded.

During sentencing, the judge described the incident as a premeditated attack on an innocent woman abducted against her will and subjected to physical harm. Gubran and Dahshan received prison sentences of 20 and 16 months, respectively. Layla Obad, who expressed remorse and apologized to the victim, was given a suspended sentence of 14 months and mandated to complete community service.

The gang pursued the victim to her workplace, seized her and interrogated her about her personal relationships. Despite maintaining her innocence initially, evidence uncovered from Gubran’s conversations revealed her involvement in planning the abduction. The judge emphasized that all three women played significant roles in the crime and must face the consequences of their actions.

In court, the defense attorneys portrayed the defendants as regretful for their actions and highlighted their personal struggles and potential losses if imprisoned. However, the judge maintained that the severity of the crime and the deliberate planning involved warranted custodial sentences for Gubran and Dahshan while acknowledging Obad’s lesser degree of culpability and expression of remorse.
