Woman leaves husband then returns to house to get her stuff and he ambushes and shoots her

PENSACOLA, FL – A Florida man has been detained and charged with first-degree premeditated murder following the fatal shooting of his estranged wife. Timothy Joseph Kramer, 51, is alleged to have killed Rosa Maria Kramer, 47, in their Pensacola residence. Additionally, Kramer faces charges relating to animal cruelty after reportedly wounding their dog during the incident.

The tragedy unfolded early on July 23, when Rosa Kramer had gone to the house they previously shared on Hillcrest Avenue to collect her possessions. When she failed to return to her father’s home where she was staying, her sister reported her missing. Rosa Kramer had planned to take her father to a medical appointment and was expected back.

Concern arose when attempts by her sister to reach Rosa were met with uncharacteristic responses via Facebook, asserting she was at the beach and needed time alone—messages that raised suspicions about their authenticity. The sister reached out via Facebook after failing to make contact through calls and texts.

Authorities were alerted and began to investigate, finding several suspicious indicators, including Rosa Kramer’s abandoned vehicle and Timothy Kramer’s attempt to hide his truck at the Pensacola home, which led to the discovery of the murder scene.

Rosa Kramer’s body was found inside the home, showing signs of a violent struggle and multiple gunshot wounds. Blood traces throughout the house painted a grim picture of the events that took place.

Upon investigation, law enforcement located Timothy Kramer in an apartment in Milton, over 20 miles from the scene, with his sister. He was taken into custody after his sister recounted his confession to her that the shooting was in self-defense, a story later determined to be fictitious by police.

Kramer’s sister, who cooperated with authorities, divulged that he had contacted her the morning of the crime, expressing fear of repercussions for his actions. She encouraged him to turn himself in, but grew skeptical over his claims of an investigation ruling self-defense. Through text messages, Kramer asked his sister to conceal him from law enforcement, further implicating him in the murder.

Currently, Timothy Kramer is being held without bail and is scheduled for a court appearance on August 16, as per court records. The investigation into Rosa Kramer’s death continues, with further details pending release as the legal process moves forward.
