ST. PETERSBURG, FL – In a chilling turn of events late Wednesday night, a St. Petersburg man was taken into custody and charged with first-degree murder following the fatal shooting of his wife. The incident escalated when the suspect pursued the ambulance transporting her to the hospital, ultimately culminating in a crash, police officials report.

The fracas began near 29th Avenue North, where 34-year-old Devin Hansen and his wife Yasmin Grijalva were visiting family members. An argument broke out between the couple, during which police allege Hansen shot Grijalva, inflicting life-threatening wounds.
