MEMPHIS, TN – A chaotic scene unfolded at a McDonald’s drive-thru in Memphis when a woman was allegedly attacked with a screwdriver by another woman demanding money, resulting in a swift police intervention and an arrest.

The incident took place when Ashley Davis, 39, reportedly approached a woman at the drive-thru speaker and requested money. According to the victim’s statement to Memphis police, upon being told there was no money to spare, Davis allegedly brandished a screwdriver and stabbed the victim in the face, punctuating the assault with a verbal outburst before fleeing the scene.

Police were quick to arrive at the McDonald’s on South Trezevant Street. They found Davis running along a nearby road, initiating a foot chase. Authorities reported that Davis put up a struggle during her arrest, prompting charges not only of aggravated assault but also of resisting official detention.

The victim, whose identity has not been released, received immediate medical attention on-site for her injuries, while Davis was apprehended and subsequently booked into the Shelby County Jail. She remains in custody with a bond set at $25,000 and is scheduled to appear in court on December 5.
