Charlotte, North Carolina – Although a 30-27 loss to the Chiefs may not have been the outcome the Panthers desired, there were still significant takeaways from the game that they can look back on with some positivity as they assess their season.

Despite the defeat, quarterback Bryce Young delivered an impressive performance, arguably his best of the year and possibly even his career. This was especially noteworthy considering the strength of the Chiefs defense compared to his standout game against the Packers last season. While the loss ended a two-game winning streak before the bye week and brought their record to 3-8, there was a sense of accomplishment felt at Bank of America Stadium on Sunday.

Young’s stat line of 21-of-35 passing for 262 yards and a touchdown, along with leading the team to a game-tying score in the final minutes, showcased his resilience and growth. After losing his starting position early in the season and only regaining it due to unfortunate circumstances involving Andy Dalton, Young has been steadily improving in his fourth consecutive start.

His performance against the Chiefs marked the second-highest passing yardage total of his career, falling just short of his impressive showing against the Packers last December. It highlighted his progression throughout the season and underscored his ability to lead the team effectively on the field.
