MOSCOW, Russia – Yulia Navalnaya, the widow of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, has stepped into the political spotlight with a powerful video statement blaming President Vladimir Putin for her husband’s death.

For years, Navalnaya stood by her husband’s side, advocating for him after he was poisoned with a nerve agent in 2020 and rallying for his treatment abroad. Now, she is calling on the Russian people to join her in fighting against Putin, accusing him of being responsible for Navalny’s death in an Arctic prison.

In her emotional video, Navalnaya expresses her grief and heartbreak over her husband’s death, but also voices her determination to continue his fight for a better Russia. She addresses EU foreign ministers and urges Russians to unite against Putin’s regime, drawing attention to the ongoing struggle for political opposition in Russia.
