A mass shooting in Monterey Park, California left at least 10 dead and several injured during a Lunar New Year festival on Sunday evening.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department responded to reports of a shooting in the city around 8:00 pm. Officials have confirmed that at least 10 people were killed and several others were injured. The suspect remains at large.

At a press conference, police officials gave a preliminary update on the shooting and said that the investigation is ongoing. They urged anyone with information about the suspect to contact the authorities.

The Lunar New Year is a traditional holiday celebrated by many Asian cultures. The festival was attended by hundreds of people, many of whom are now in shock and mourning the loss of their loved ones.
