Chicago, Illinois – The Chicago Police Department has announced the arrest of 15 people for their involvement in a disturbance that occurred in the city’s Loop area, following a shooting incident at Millennium Park that left two teenagers injured.

According to the police, the shooting occurred around 8:30 pm on Tuesday. Two teenagers, aged 16 and 17, were shot in the area of Millennium Park. They were taken to hospital in a stable condition.

Following the shooting, a group of individuals began causing a disturbance in the Loop area, which is home to many shops, restaurants, and businesses. Police were called to the scene, and 15 people were arrested for their involvement in the disturbance.

Chicago Police Superintendent David Brown held a press conference on Wednesday, where he spoke about the arrests. “We will not tolerate this type of behavior in our city,” he said. “I want to send a message to anyone who thinks they can come into our city and cause trouble – we will find you and you will be held accountable for your actions.”

The 15 individuals who were arrested face charges ranging from disorderly conduct to resisting arrest. They are currently being held in police custody and are due to appear in court in the coming days.

The incident has once again raised concerns about gun violence in Chicago, which has seen an increase in shootings in recent years. Mayor Lori Lightfoot has vowed to tackle the issue, and has called on the state and federal government to provide more resources to help combat gun violence in the city.
