Actress Annie Wersching, best known for her roles in TV series 24 and Bosch, has died at the age of 45.
Wersching’s death was confirmed by her family in a statement released to People magazine.
The statement said that Wersching had been battling cancer for some time and passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family.
Wersching was born in St. Louis, Missouri and began her acting career in the late 1990s. She was best known for her role as FBI agent Renee Walker in the Fox series 24 and as Detective Julia Brasher in the Amazon series Bosch. She also had recurring roles in the NBC series Timeless and the Hulu series Runaways.
Wersching is survived by her husband, Stephen Full, and their two children.
Her death has been met with an outpouring of grief from the entertainment industry, with many of her former co-stars, directors and producers paying tribute to her on social media.
“Annie was an incredible talent and an even better person,” said her 24 co-star Kiefer Sutherland. “Her energy and enthusiasm was infectious. She will be deeply missed.”
