Celebrate 50 Years of RAGBRAI: 2023 Route and Overnight Towns Announced!

The 50th annual RAGBRAI bicycle ride across Iowa is set to start in Sioux City on July 23, 2023. The route, which was announced by the Des Moines Register, will take riders on a 437-mile journey across the state.

The ride will end in Davenport on July 29, and will make stops in 24 towns along the way. KTIV Siouxland’s News Channel reported that the overnight stops include Sioux City, Onawa, Denison, Jefferson, Ames, Marshalltown, Cedar Falls, Waterloo, Cedar Rapids, Anamosa, Maquoketa, Clinton, Muscatine, West Liberty, Kalona, Washington, Fairfield, Ottumwa, Chariton, Albia, Centerville, Bloomfield, Keosauqua, and Burlington.

The Des Moines Register also provided a comprehensive guide to the 50th anniversary ride, including information about registration, route details, and what to expect along the way. KCRG reported that the organizers of the event have made sure to include many of the towns that have been part of the ride in the past.
