Panaji, India: The murder of a CEO’s son in Goa may have been premeditated, as police have found evidence suggesting that the woman may have planned the killing.

Goa police discovered empty bottles of cough syrup in the room where the start-up CEO allegedly killed her four-year-old son. This evidence indicates that the murder may have been pre-planned, according to an official statement.

The postmortem examination revealed that the child was smothered to death, likely with a cloth or pillow, officials said. The accused woman, Suchana Seth, allegedly killed her son in an apartment in Candolim, Goa, before stuffing the body into a bag and taking it to neighboring Karnataka in a taxi.

The woman was arrested from Chitradurga in Karnataka on Monday night and brought back to Goa for questioning. During the inspection of the service apartment where the woman stayed, the police found two empty bottles of cough syrup, indicating a possible motive for the murder.
