DWI Suspect Crashes into Long Island Nail Salon, Killing 4 – Shocking Details revealed

Deer Park, New York – A tragic car crash at a nail salon in Long Island resulted in the deaths of four individuals and left ten others injured. The incident occurred when a 64-year-old man, Steven Schwally, lost control of his vehicle in a parking lot, crashing through the front window of Hawaii Nail & Spa.

According to Suffolk County Police, Schwally was driving at a high speed in a Chevy Traverse when he veered off course, causing the vehicle to plow through the salon’s storefront. The impact was devastating, with three women and a man losing their lives at the scene. The deceased victims were identified as Jiancai Chen, Emilia Rennhack, Yan Xu, and Meizi Zhang.

Emilia Rennhack, one of the victims, was an off-duty New York police officer assigned to the 102nd precinct. The NYPD expressed their condolences for her tragic death and urged the public to keep her family, friends, and colleagues in their thoughts during this difficult time.

In the aftermath of the crash, ten individuals, including Schwally, were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. Schwally, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries, remains under medical care and is facing charges of Driving While Intoxicated.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams extended his sympathies to the family and friends of Officer Rennhack, acknowledging the loss of a dedicated public servant.
