DUBLIN, IRELAND – Multiple victims, including three children, were gravely injured during a stabbing incident in the heart of Dublin on Thursday, instigating a swift response from emergency services and resulting in a man’s arrest.

The assault occurred at approximately 1:30 p.m. near an elementary school in the bustling Parnell Square East area. Allegedly, the assailant targeted an adult woman initially, before turning his knife on the children, one of whom, a 5-year-old girl, incurred significant wounds.

Afterward, local witnesses reported seeing the assailant, brandishing a sizeable knife, subdued by civilians until police arrived to apprehend him.

As the five wounded individuals a woman and three children were hurried to various hospitals across Dublin, the local community reeled from the shock of the violence near the school vicinity. The children were taken to Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin, while the adults were transported to the Mater Hospital for emergency care.
