Kentucky sibling shootout mystery: 56-year-old woman kills her brother and sister

JAMESTOWN, KY – A series of fatal shootings on Friday in Russell and Pulaski Counties are under investigation by Kentucky authorities. The violent incidents, which claimed the lives of at least two individuals, are believed to be interconnected, officials said.

Kentucky State Police were dispatched following a call from Pulaski County 911 regarding the search for a Ford F-150 truck thought to be driven by 56-year-old Angela Gosser. Shortly after, a second call reported a deadly shooting at a residence along South KY 619 in Russell County.

Upon arriving at the Russell County scene, KSP’s initial findings suggested an exchange of gunfire between Gosser and her brother, 58-year-old Darryl Wilson. Although Wilson was rushed to the University of Kentucky Hospital with critical injuries, Gosser was declared deceased at the scene.

Concurrently, officers were alerted to the welfare of Gosser’s sister, Jennifer Wilson, age 57. Conducting a welfare check at her address on Hammond Road alongside Russell County Sheriff’s deputies, authorities tragically discovered Wilson in her vehicle with a fatal gunshot wound to the head.

Meanwhile, the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office had earlier responded to a distress call at about 6:30 p.m. on Brown Ridge Road. Deputies there found a male victim, unidentified in the report, deceased beside the road, a victim of a shooting.

While the investigations by the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office primarily concern the Brown Ridge Road incident, the Kentucky State Police is delving into the tragedies in Russell County. The related shootings prompted an official assurance from law enforcement that there is no ongoing threat to the public’s safety.

Both law enforcement agencies continued to piece together the events leading up to the shootings, diligently working to uncover motives, connections, and any additional information to clarify this string of violent acts that have shaken the local communities.

As the investigation unfolds, authorities reach out to the public for any information that could assist in resolving the case. The names of the other involved parties have not been disclosed, pending notification of next of kin and further investigation.

The Kentucky State Police request that anyone with information related to these incidents contact them directly as they continue to piece together the circumstances behind the shootings. The states of the victims and any suspects remain part of the ongoing investigation.
