Landlord Allegedly Kills Three Queens Tenants Over Unpaid Rent

ST. ALBANS, Queens – Three tenants were killed inside their rented home in Queens on Tuesday morning, allegedly by their 54-year-old landlord over unpaid rent, according to police officials.

Authorities found two women and a man dead with apparent stab wounds inside the residence on Milburn Street around 7:15 a.m. The victims were pronounced dead at the scene, and it is believed that the incident stemmed from an ongoing dispute over rent payment.

One of the women was found on the second floor, while the other two victims, a couple, were in a basement apartment. The 51-year-old woman was found face down in her bed, and it is unclear whether they were stabbed while asleep.

The landlord turned himself in at the 113th precinct, where he is now being held. The NYPD Assistant Chief Kevin Williams reported that the man walked into the precinct earlier in the day and confessed to having difficulties with his tenants, further indicating that he “did something bad.”

Neighbors shared that while the landlord and tenants were polite, they mainly kept to themselves. The home, as per authorities, was a single-family dwelling with a finished basement and was overall well-maintained.

The identities of the victims are still being determined, and charges are pending against the suspect. No children were found in the home, and the investigation is ongoing.
