Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James had one of his greatest games in a Lakers jersey on Tuesday night. James scored a season-high 44 points in the Lakers’ win over the Indiana Pacers, the highest-scoring game of his career as a Laker.

James has long been considered one of the greatest all-around players in the NBA, but lately he has been showing off his scoring prowess. He is now just 12 points away from passing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the NBA’s all-time leading scorer.

In an interview with ESPN, James discussed his pursuit of the record and his longevity in the NBA. He said he feels blessed to still be playing at such a high level at the age of 36.

James also discussed his former teammate Kyrie Irving, who is now with the Brooklyn Nets. James said he is proud of Irving and is looking forward to facing him in the playoffs.

When asked about how he plans to break Kareem’s record, James said he is taking it one game at a time and will focus on helping the Lakers win.
