Paul Pelosi Attacker’s Chilling Call to TV Station: “I’m So Sorry I Didn’t Get More of Them”

Paul Pelosi, the father of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, was attacked on January 26th by David DePape. Following the release of bodycam video of the attack, DePape made a chilling call to a local TV station, trafficking in conspiracy theories.

In the call to Fox News, DePape said, “I’m so sorry I didn’t get more of them,” an apparent reference to the attack. He also said he was “not prepared” for the attack and that he “should have been more prepared.”

DePape also made a bizarre phone call to KTVU FOX 2 San Francisco, saying he should have been “more prepared.”

The attack has sparked a debate over conspiracy theories and their role in politics. A recent article in The Washington Post argued that the only conspiracy theory is that Democrats are evil.

The incident has raised questions about the role of conspiracy theories in politics and the need for more public discourse on the dangers of such rhetoric.
