In the call to Fox News, DePape said, “I’m so sorry I didn’t get more of them,” an apparent reference to the attack. He also said he was “not prepared” for the attack and that he “should have been more prepared.”
DePape also made a bizarre phone call to KTVU FOX 2 San Francisco, saying he should have been “more prepared.”
The attack has sparked a debate over conspiracy theories and their role in politics. A recent article in The Washington Post argued that the only conspiracy theory is that Democrats are evil.
