Person of Interest Images Released After 10 Freeway Fire – Have You Seen This Suspect?

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA – Authorities are seeking the public’s help in identifying a person of interest connected to a fire that broke out under Interstate 10 on November 11th. The fire quickly spread over 8 acres, leading to the closure of the thoroughfare.

Images released by Cal Fire show the individual wearing blue shorts, a black jacket, and a black backpack, and carrying a green scarf. He also had a knee brace on his right leg and appeared to have suffered visible burn injuries to his left leg.

The fire, which was fueled by pallets, cars, construction materials, and hand sanitizer being stored under the freeway in downtown Los Angeles, prompted the evacuation of at least 16 homeless people living in an encampment in the area. No injuries were reported, and the 10 Freeway in the area was closed, with plans for reopening the following week.

Despite ongoing arson investigations, no arrests have been made. Authorities have urged anyone who recognizes the individual in the released images to call Cal Fire’s arson hotline at 1-800-468-4408.

The public’s assistance in identifying the person of interest is crucial to the ongoing investigation. Any information leading to the identification of the individual may be vital in solving the case and preventing future incidents.

To ensure the safety of the community, authorities are urging cooperation from the public in bringing the person responsible to justice.
