On February 4, 2021, the Memphis Police Department’s Scorpion Unit was deployed for the first time. The unit’s mission was to combat violent crime in the city, and it quickly made a name for itself.
The unit, which consists of officers from various departments, including the Gang Unit, Narcotics Unit, and the Special Investigations Unit, has been working hard to make the streets of Memphis safer. They have conducted several raids, resulting in dozens of arrests and the seizure of weapons, drugs, and cash.
