Sarah Huckabee Sanders to Deliver Republican Response to Biden’s State of the Union Address

Sarah Huckabee Sanders, former White House Press Secretary under President Donald Trump, will deliver the Republican response to President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address on Tuesday.

The Republican response will take place after President Biden’s address to Congress, which is expected to focus on the COVID-19 pandemic, the economy, and the nation’s racial and social justice issues.

Sanders, who is currently the Governor of Arkansas, is no stranger to the national spotlight. She served as the White House Press Secretary from 2017 to 2019, and was a senior adviser to Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign.

In a statement released by the Republican National Committee, Sanders said she was “honored to have been chosen to deliver the Republican response to President Biden’s State of the Union address.”

“I look forward to laying out the Republican vision for a safer, stronger, and more prosperous America,” Sanders said in the statement.

The response is expected to focus on the Biden administration’s policies, and will likely touch on issues such as taxes, healthcare, and the economy.

The State of the Union address will be broadcast live from the House Chamber of the U.S. Capitol at 9:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday. Sanders’ response will follow shortly after.
