Schools across Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky are closing on Tuesday, January 25th due to inclement weather.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the area, with snow and ice expected to accumulate throughout the day.
The affected school districts include Cincinnati Public Schools, Boone County Schools, Campbell County Schools, Kenton County Schools, and Northern Kentucky University.
Cincinnati Public Schools Superintendent Laura Mitchell said in a statement, “We understand the impact this decision has on our families and staff, but safety is our top priority. We will continue to monitor the weather and make decisions accordingly.”
Boone County Schools Superintendent Randy Poe echoed Mitchell’s sentiment, saying, “We understand the inconvenience this may cause, but the safety of our students and staff is our highest priority.”
