Top 50 MLB Prospects to Watch in 2023: Gunnar Henderson, Anthony Volpe, and Andrew Painter Lead the Way

The 2021 MLB season is just around the corner, and with that comes the anticipation for the 2023 MLB draft. With some of the top prospects in the league, fans are eager to see who will be the next big stars.

CBS Sports recently released its rankings for the top 50 MLB prospects entering the 2023 season. Leading the way is Gunnar Henderson, a shortstop from Florida, followed by Anthony Volpe, a pitcher from New Jersey, and Andrew Painter, an outfielder from Texas.

ESPN also released its rankings for the top 100 Kiley McDaniel prospects for the 2023 draft. The list is headlined by two high schoolers, right-hander Jack Leiter from New Jersey and catcher Blaze Jordan from Mississippi.

Meanwhile, Saturday Down South released its rankings for the 10 best MLB Draft prospects from the SEC. The list was led by Vanderbilt pitcher Kumar Rocker, Texas A&M shortstop Jordan Groshans, and Mississippi State outfielder Rowdey Jordan.

Finally, Baltimore Sports and Life released its rankings for the top 50 Baltimore Orioles prospects for February 2023. The list includes infielders Ryan Mountcastle and Gunnar Henderson, as well as pitchers Grayson Rodriguez and DL Hall.

With the 2023 MLB draft just over a year away, fans are already looking forward to seeing which of these prospects will be the next big stars.
