Impeachment Vote for Democratic President Joe Biden Looms – Will the Republican-Controlled House Proceed? Exclusive Updates Here!

WASHINGTON, D.C. (AP) – The Republican-controlled U.S. House of Representatives is set to vote on Wednesday to formalize the impeachment inquiry of Democratic President Joe Biden, according to a Republican leadership aide speaking on condition of anonymity, as reported on Monday. The vote is expected to take place on Thursday, coinciding with the House’s impending departure for a three-week year-end holiday break.

House Republicans have accused President Biden and his family of benefiting improperly from policy decisions made during Biden’s tenure as vice president under President Barack Obama. This accusation has been heightened by allegations of inappropriate interference by the U.S. Department of Justice in an investigation into Biden’s son, Hunter Biden. In response to these allegations, Republican Representative Kelly Armstrong introduced a 14-page resolution to authorize a full House vote on the matter.

Despite these allegations, House Republicans have yet to produce concrete evidence linking Biden’s actions as vice president to his son’s business dealings. It is also unlikely that the Senate, with a slim Democratic majority, would vote to convict the president even if the House did pass articles of impeachment.

A Republican member of one of the investigating committees, Representative Byron Donalds, stated on Fox News that he expects the inquiry to conclude within the next two months, with the drafting of impeachment articles to follow sometime in the spring.

If the impeachment inquiry is formalized, it will mark yet another chapter in the ongoing conflict between the two major political parties in the United States. Regardless of the outcome, the impact of the investigation on the Biden administration and the nation’s political landscape will undoubtedly be significant.
