Early Monday morning, tragedy struck the small town of Half Moon Bay, California, when a gunman opened fire at a local business, killing three people and wounding four others.

According to authorities, the suspect, Chunli Zhao, legally owned the gun he used in the shooting and had targeted specific people. Zhao had a history of making threats to coworkers and had previously tried to suffocate a co-worker, according to court documents.
